A MESSAGE FROM THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR IN OTTAWA
For the past 18 years, the Outaouais Film Festival has been an ideal opportunity to explore Francophone cinema. Feature films, short films, animation, documentaries… this festival has introduced cinephiles and other moviegoers to many movies that, oftentimes, are not distributed on the commercial film circuit in Gatineau or Ottawa.
The Cultural Service of the Embassy of France in Canada supports this exposure of France’s very dynamic creativity. It is also dedicated to cultivating interest in French cinema in Canada. The festival has thus been a natural partner for the Embassy since it was founded. Our services also collaborate with many of the professionals and organizations that support the festival, in order to promote professional and artistic exchanges between France and Canada. Film releases in theatres and on-demand, co-productions, festivals, professional markets, and artist-in-residence programs are all ways that you can explore all of our initiatives and the events that we support through the www.francecanadaculture.ca platform.
Happy viewing to you all,
Embassy of France to Canada
